Let's Go Fishin'

About Captain Scott

An avid outdoorsman, Captain Scott has been fishing and hunting since he was old enough to hold a cane pole while fishing for catfish from the wooded banks of Muddy Gut, a tidal tributary of the Chesapeake Bay in southeastern Baltimore County. His love of the outdoors has been a guiding force throughout his life, from the time he earned his Eagle Scout award in the Boy Scouts of America, during his service as Conservation Director with the Maryland Bass Nation, and now as a professional fishing guide. Scott has owned numerous boats since he was 12 years old when got his first runabout, to a cabin cruiser fishing the Chesapeake Bay for stripers, then getting his first tournament bass boat in 1992.

In 2004 he earned his United State's Coast Guard Captain's license, and his Maryland Freshwater & Tidal guide license. Since then he has shared his knowledge of fishing with both novice and experienced fishermen throughout Maryland. He is highly regarded by his peers and is often called upon to offer his advice and expertise on the tidal rivers of Maryland, in particular, the Upper Chesapeake Bay tributaries. He is certified in CPR, and carries commercial business insurance as required by law.

Although he is highly experienced in fishing for all species in our tidal rivers & creeks, he specializes in finding & catching largemouth bass. Whether you're new to the fishing community, or an experienced tournament competitor, Captain Scott can help you put more fish in the boat!
